Cybercircus Awareness Training
Practice Together During a Cybercircus Awareness Training
Cyberattacks are becoming more targeted, faster, and more complex. Especially in chain collaborations and operational environments, one weak link is sufficient to cause major damage to the entire chain. Most organizations now have technical measures in place, but during a cybercircus, it often appears that insufficient cooperation, decision-making, and communication unnecessarily increase the impact of the crisis.
The Cybercircus Awareness Training from CCRC helps organizations to become familiar with the aspects of a cybercircus in a realistic and impactful way.
What Does the Training Provide?
During this interactive crisis simulation:
- You experience how a cybercircus really unfolds, under pressure and with uncertainty
- You practice your role in crisis teams, including communication, decision-making, and collaboration
- Share your experiences during the training with the other participants
- You discover bottlenecks in your current procedures, tools, and collaboration
- You go home with concrete advice, applicable in your own organization
Who Is This Training For?
The training is aimed at the following target groups:
- Directors and Senior Management
- IT and Security Management
- Communication Experts
- Chain Partners
For Which Occasions?
The cybersecurity awareness trainings are often used for the following occasions where cybersecurity needs to be brought to attention:
- Employee Meetings or Team Days - Learning what to do as an employee during a crisis
- Relationship Events - As a professional or trade association or as a supplier offering your relations an educational experience
- Awareness Program - As part of the program to make employees more aware of cybersecurity risks
What Training Forms Are Available?

Interactive Trainings
The CCRC trainings are known for their interactive and educational character. Participants work hands-on to solve a simulated crisis under the guidance of experts in the field.
Everyone receives the handy “First Aid Crisis Guide” with the most important information you want to have on hand when managing a cybercircus

Everyone receives a personal certificate of participation upon completion of the Standard Cybercircus Awareness Training

"On Entrepreneur's Day, I had the opportunity to attend a very informative workshop on cybercrime, organized by the CCRC Foundation. The gentlemen from CCRC first provided a clear explanation of cybercrime and reviewed the terminology with us. Then, through a practical example, we experienced what a cyber attack feels like and how cybercriminals operate. We learned how to create an action plan, and even more interesting was discovering that there are ways to protect our online business."

The session was practical, accessible, and interactive. I became more aware of the necessity of cybersecurity. I was surprised by the ease with which an attack can be set up and the scale at which this occurs. The interactive experience was an educational team game, a lifelike simulation of a hack! In short, it was an enjoyable afternoon in which a lot of knowledge was gained.
With the CCRC training, a lot was learned about the digital chain approach, and we are now better equipped to strengthen our workflow. The serious gaming approach also helped us practice how to engage in appropriate conversations with service providers. When cybersecurity resilience is at stake, we are not only dependent on online services but also on how we assert our rights while maintaining professional relationships.

This is how Lambert Hofstra (KPN) experienced the Cyber Crisis training!
“I work at KPN as a security consultant and help clients improve their cybersecurity resilience. In addition to basic hygiene measures to prevent falling victim to cybercrime, it is crucial to know what to do if you unexpectedly become a victim. After all, the question is not if you will be hacked, but when! And when that happens, you should already know what to do: you wouldn’t order fire hoses when your building is on fire! Being prepared for a cyber attack is important for all businesses, whether you have little or a lot of security implemented. Knowing what to do in the event of a cyber attack can significantly reduce or even prevent damage.”
Due to the increased focus on security, direct attacks are becoming more complex, and we are seeing that these often happen through a supplier that is less secure. Or, you might have outsourced a (large) part of your IT to a provider without knowing how they have secured themselves. And thus, without knowing what can or cannot fail. In short, insight into your supply chain partners is simply very important!
When I saw the announcement for the CCRC boost session, I was curious because it focuses on practicing a cyber crisis from a supply chain dependency perspective. During the boost session, CCRC simulated a realistic scenario in which participants worked in groups to resolve the crisis. The nice thing is that during the exercise, the focus was not on technology but on business impact, making it accessible even for executives. It was very valuable (and fun) to try to solve the crisis with different entrepreneurs.
For me personally, it was valuable because it confirmed how much influence a supplier can have on a company and its core processes. Often, organizations don’t realize this beforehand, only when things go wrong. It was a huge eye-opener for many other participants and a safe way to raise awareness (because you learn from an incident without your company actually being in a crisis). It’s great that CCRC simulates this because, through awareness of your risks, you can also take preventive measures.
It’s a relatively small investment for the knowledge you gain during the session. Highly recommended for every entrepreneur.”
